What should I expect at the arrival of the airport/ bus stations?
Prior to landing, some airlines will give you the necessary immigration card, which is required for entry into Uganda; however, not all do. If they don’t, you will have to get one when you first enter the airport. Immigration is first come, first serve, so be sure to complete the immigration card as soon as possible and then stand in line at the immigration window.
After going through immigration, you will wait in line for your visa to be checked. Please note if you are purchasing your visa at the airport that only payment in USD is accepted.
Then you will proceed to baggage collection. After getting your baggage, proceed to the second customs checkpoint where the X-ray machine is.
While there’s plenty of transport options available at both the airport and bus station, we encourage you to use our driver Ann who will be waiting for you at the airport.
