About
It all started when...
Freddie started hosting volunteers at his home in Mbale, Uganda, back in 2009. People from Germany, the U.S., Turkey, Vietnam, Amsterdam, Egypt, Spain, and many, many more places from all over the world have come to volunteer and live in Uganda over the years.
Come And We Go! International is the collaborative effort of husband-and-wife team, Freddie and Edine, offering opportunities for people to experience the Pearl of Africa for themselves.
Freddie, a TV show host and radio personality, now lives in New York with his wife and son. Because he offered such a rich experience to volunteers who have returned with friends and spread the word worldwide to others, he still has his home in Uganda where volunteers can stay during their trip.
Edine first met Freddie in Uganda in 2011 when she came as one of his volunteers. She volunteered daily at the local orphanage, St. Kizito's Babies Home, and also worked with the media station writing articles and photographing life in Uganda. You can find the blog of her journey there at www.enjphotographytheblog.wordpress.com
Come and We Go will connect prospective volunteers with projects dedicated to farming, HIV awareness, teaching English, childcare at the local orphanage, and more. We welcome all those who have something to offer the world out there, a burning desire to make a difference in the lives of others, and have a little fun while you're at it!
Uganda has festivals, safaris, nightclubs, sporting events, and plenty of other activities to discover. We encourage volunteers to not only serve and grow during their trip but also explore Uganda and have a complete experience.
